Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Harvard Square's Concepts is no stranger to collaboration, especially involving the boot leader from Canada, Sorel. It's hard to look chic in slush, but the details of each boot in the collection ensure that you will stand out in an army of Uggs. Though past editions are still up for grabs, we are quite fond of 2012's update to the Carly Conquest boot with its quilted patent leather, suede trim, front lacing, and industrial harness straps ($300). Also notable is the Fair Isle Cate the Great ($240)—its faux fur sock liner is removable for days that the Eskimo look doesn't vibe with your outfit—as well as the leopard etched leather Tofino ($200), which produces an insanely cool texture.
Shop the collection online or swing by the store before the skies drop plenty of powder. Call (617) 868-2001 for availability.
