Mayor Menino and the City Hall crew are welcoming six of Boston's most popular retail trucks outside Government Center for the better part of December in an effort to woo shoppers away from suburban malls. Congregating at the epicenter of the Hub, visitors can explore holiday offerings from Boston Sports Apparel, BRKFST CLUB, The Fashion Truck, Green Street Vault, Lola's Urban Vintage, and Sterlingwear Of Boston.
The market runs from 11:30 am-4:30 pm Wednesday through Friday each week until December 14, then Monday through Friday the week leading up to Christmas. If nightmares of a frostbitten wait for the T lure you indoors, take note: Menino is also waiving parking meter fees for up to two hours every Saturday until December 29. As far as we're concerned, that gives us liberty to overload our trunks with presents. Freedom is free after all.
