HUB-WIDE—Quick, go eat all eleven of these latkes before Hanukkah ends! Here's Boston's definitive potato pancake guide, spanning a myriad of cuisines and including everything from upscale to diner fare.

NORTH END—A Boston legend is no more now that Michael Mercogliano, the "Mike" of Mike's Pastry, has died. Mike lived to the ripe old age of 90, all the while making sure that untold legions of cannoli fans had their fill.

SOMERVILLE—At first Eater heard that something new was headed to the space that was once neighborhood hangout The Paddock. And then, in some of the year's biggest restaurant news, it turned out to be a new project by Oleana and Sofra chef Ana Sortun. What? Here!?
