As 2012 draws to a close, we're surveying our friends in the fashion industry about the year's biggest news stories and most exciting developments. Last week, we inquired about the best and worst trends, as well as biggest shopping regrets and the best parties. Now, let's talk favorite purchases! Readers, let us know what you think in the comments.

Q: What was your favorite purchase of 2012?

Christina Pierce, Christina K. Pierce Boutique Fashion Agency owner: My Celine burnt orange Phantom bag, oh so soft and pretty.

Amanda Knorr, Spreedia founder: My red and pink striped oxfords by The Office of Angela Scott.

Renata Certo-Ware, Scorpion Disco and freelance fashion writer/stylist: I bought a big 'n beautiful bright orange tote bag - for around $50 - in some junkie store while I was on vacation in Sicily over the summer. The color is perfect, and it's big enough to stash the endless supply of notebooks, folders, and other staples of a freelance writer and stylist. I get tons of compliments on it, and the best part is, when someone asks me where I got it, I get to say "Italy" with just the slightest bit of smugness.

Lisa Pierpont, BOLDFACERS founder: A cobalt blue (did I mention that I like cobalt blue?) Proenza Schouler PS1 suede satchel bag from Intermix.

Lani Zervas, Mon Petit Chou Chou blogger: Besides my new house....I'd say my Hermes Constance bag, which I scored from Skinner Auction House. Great under the radar spot to buy vintage couture, jewelry, art and furniture.

Liana Krupp, communications consultant and New Brahmin founder: Proenza Schouler sweaters, one of the few things I've ever purchased that makes me feel like an adult.

Heather White, Lifestyle Marketing at PLNDR: My Isabel Marant Internal Wedge Sneakers from LOOC. (RIP)
