Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Yesterday we briefly mentioned that vintage expert Artifaktori will be closing its Davis Square location, resulting in a storewide sale that commences today. Interestingly, but not necessarily surprising, it seems that the shop is going the same direction as Oona's in Harvard Square—refocusing efforts on just one storefront and moving into the e-commerce space. In the case of Artifaktori, the team's attention will be directed to the Charles Street spot, booths at various regional market (fingers crossed for SoWa), and relaunching an Etsy shop.
Back to that sale: It will run until the store is officially shuttered, and the College Avenue boutique will only be open Thursdays through Sundays. In an email to its fans, Artifaktori recommends following Facebook for updates on changes.
