Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Millinery mavens better book it to the Peabody Essex Museum ASAP, as the widely loved "Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones" display is entering its last week in Salem. The museum is keeping its doors open until 9pm Wednesday, January 30, through Saturday, February 2—so no reason to worry about North Shore rush hour traffic and a looming closing time, though we do recommend taking the T (schedule here). Added incentive: 20% off all sorts of headwear in the museum shop. Enjoy this selected set of 250+ hats, and plan your visit before the exhibit packs up on Sunday, February 3.
