Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Crammed work schedules can make it impossible to get to your neighborhood nail salon during business hours—you don't even make it home until 8pm and they all close before dinner. Harvard Business School alums Katina Mountanos and Liz Whitman want to remedy that conundrum with Manicube, a $15 fifteen-minute manicure at your office. Already a success story in New York (where the start-up is based), the company recently launched in Boston with more than a dozen workplaces participating in the weekly traveling salon service.

In-season colors are offered from leading polish brands OPI, Deborah Lippmann, Essie, and even Chanel. Appointments can be booked and paid for online, and if you want to request manicurists for your own conference room, that can also be done on the website.
