Mizu for Hair, an upscale salon embedded within the Mandarin Hotel, has built a reputation for award-winning stylists (and the expensive haircuts that are associated with them). But just a couple weeks ago, salon director Louise Rusk embarked on a new service menu showcasing junior stylists at a fraction of the going rates for cuts and blowouts. Zu Bar is that new branch of the salon, with a blowout running for $45 (compared to $75), women's cut and style for $75 (compared to $125+), and men's cut for $65.
The junior staff uses the same Oribe, Bumble and Bumble, and Kerastase products, and like every client experience at Mizu, Zu Bar also offers complimentary coffee, tea, and cappuccino. The hairstyle menu is currently offered daily from 10am to 6pm, with the exception of Wednesdays. Call (617) 585-6498 for an appointment.
