You get the drill by now: Ball and Buck has its hand in the American-made movement much deeper than simply selling domestically produced items in store. From super custom collaborations to an annual pop-up market devoted to the notion, this crew is certainly a champion of quality workmanship. Next up on the brand's agenda is a special edition shoe with Danner, a Portland, Oregon based company known for its boots and attention to detail. The style launches next Tuesday, October 29, at the Newbury Street shop, but take a moment to devour it now.
From the sidewalk to the woods, this boot ($376) is both light and functional for hunting and hiking, utilizing Gumlite® soles by Vibram®. The body of the shoe is a waxed and oiled leather, expected to wear into a nice patina over time, coupled with Ball and Buck's signature camo print on 10oz duck cloth. Along with logo stamps, you know the boot's origin from its subtle blaze orange heel stitching—a color loved by the local brand.
