Footwear News, the shoe biz wing of WWD, just published its annual Power 100 list of the industry's finest upper management. Using the staff's "'in' factor" criteria—"innovation, intrigue, insight and industry clout"—the publication features everyone from established companies like Nordstrom to newer designers like Charlotte Olympia. Given that Massachusetts is home to many footwear giants, several brands with Bay State ties made the cut...though only three execs based locally are on the list.

Jim Davis and Rob DeMartini of New Balance sit at number sixteen for their collaborations with fellow Boston retail stars Concepts and Bodega, as well as their strong baseball sponsorships, "Runnovation" campaign, and concept store openings in Burlington, MA and Barcelona. TJX Companies CEO Carol Meyrowitz takes number fifty on the list, with FN noting the TJ Maxx foray into e-commerce and increased brick-and-mortar store count.
