Earlier this year, Drybar announced its planned expansion to the Boston market, though at the time there were no details on where or when. No need to hold your breath any longer—the leading blow dry bar brand (and the one who coined the term) will open for business on Clarendon Street at the end of next week on Friday, October 11. This is the thirty-first store for the chain, with another opening in Chestnut Hill this November.
Though blowouts here run a tad more expensive than competitors ($40 flat fee versus the usual $35), clients here appreciate the cheeky cocktail-themed hairstyle menu, custom Italian chairs, tufted fabric walls, and a gorgeous marble bar boasting power stations to charge your phone (hallelujah!). Add some chick flicks in the background, indulge in an actual cocktail, and before you know it, it's like a posh version of getting pampered on your couch. Should you decide to join the cult of Drybar, know that you'll stylishly fit right in with a celebrity fan base including Julia Roberts, Zooey Deschanel, and Jennifer Garner. Booking is already available.
