What makes Boston great? It's the plethora of interesting people doing interesting things, and we think they deserve some notice. Rosanna Ortiz Sinel may not be a Boston resident herself, but her work does touch the local style community. Her company StyleWeek Northeast puts on multiple annual fashion weeks in Providence, Rhode Island—and even made its Boston debut last spring. Meet the woman behind the shows.

1. Describe your style.
My style includes a lot of leather, pointed toes, and gold accessories. I am minimalist at heart but likes to add a bit of edge to that simplicity. I truly come from the belief that less is more and you make your style, not the clothes.

2. How does work influence your style.
Being the founder of a fashion event who showcases emerging designers, my style is 100% influenced by my work, it's hard not to be influenced by these talented artists who we work with on a daily basis. Wish I could wear them all every day!

3. Favorite places to shop in Boston?
Twilight for accessories and Daniella Corte for classics that make you feel sexy.

4. Places you don't shop in Boston?
Gap Kids.

5. Describe Boston's fashion sense in three words.
Conservative, Safe, Timeless

6. What's the one thing you can't live without?
Leather pants, I will be wearing them even after they are a trend!

7. And the one you can't live with?
Fear. The inability to take risk is a pet peeve of mine. If something scares me it makes me want to do it more.

8. What is your biggest indulgence?
MCM Handbags..obsessed. Amazing German brand with a lot of history and passion.

9. If you could only exist in one moment in time, what would it be?
The moment when our designers walk down the runway after showing their collection at StyleWeek...now, that's a moment.

10. And what would you be wearing?
Hopefully that designer!
