Thom Solo, shoe wunderkind based here in Boston, can add a new bullet point to his resume this month: a now available collaboration with Portland, Oregon-based e-retailer Solestruck. Known for his sky-high couture footwear, the designer has appealed to the stiletto-obsessed far beyond the Bay State's reach, turning heads in a Britney Spears music video in October. Solestruck has been teasing its relationship with Thom Solo for months, finally launching the Dahlia boot—a platform leather silhouette with silk resin flowers adorning the toe, priced at just under $300. Consider it a delicious splurge, and maybe even a bargain, given its handmade origins.
