Gifts are unpacked, returns are being plotted, and bank accounts are replenished with cold, hard cash. It's the week after Christmas and those lucky enough to have some dough on hand can pillage post-holiday sales as retailers try to unload before the year's end. Here are several worth exploring around town.
In the designer departments, you can find up to 60% off at Barneys and Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as South End boutique Viola Lovely. Meanwhile, feed the need for new denim and knitwear at in-jean-ius in the North End, where fall and winter items are discounted up to 50% off. South End standby Flock is offering 30% off all full-priced apparel (a great excuse to cop something sparkly for New Year's). If you're hoping to shop from the comfort of your couch, Boston-based e-retailer Karmaloop has markdowns up to 75% off, with 40% off orders over $100 and 30% off orders over $50.
Every Second Time Around location has marked down winter items 30% to 50% off through Wednesday, January 1, as well as 10% off new arrivals, furs, jewelry and basics.
North End staple Twilight Boutique is offering up to 50% off dresses, tops, skirts, jackets, and more.
Take 30% off winter clothing at Portobello Road, which now has a shiny new home at The Street in Chestnut Hill.
The Louis Winter Sale kicks off next Wednesday, January 8, with 30% off designer men's and women's collections.
