Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
A prestigious Sports Club/LA will be opening its doors to yogis, spinners, and free weights advocates in just a couple weeks at the redeveloped Chestnut Hill complex The Street. Dubbed the "Jewel Box" club within this national network of high-end fitness centers, this location is considered unparalleled. Eco-friendly elements merge with the ultimate in amenities: a juice bar, salt-infused steam rooms, and an IMAX-quality REV cycling studio boasting a panoramic screen (perfect for indoor biking during icky winter months). Suburban parents can drop their kids off at the childcare room, which features an underwater-themed mural painted by the local non-profit Artists for Humanity.
Debating whether to join on March 11 when members finally walk into the fireplace-adorned lobby? Look no further. The clip above will walk you through the building, and the renderings below will have you jonesing to break a sweat.
