The link between North End designer Luke Aaron and Wicked Peacock founder Silvana Costa can be traced back to an encounter at Artifaktori where they bonded over a mutual hairstylist. Fast forward and the two locals have come together for a spring photoshoot, titled "A Touch of Whimsy," which showcases jewelry from Costa's marketplace and clothing from Luke Aaron's collection. Shot in an industrial Somerville space by Marisa Camarra, the mini-lookbook stars emerging up-and-coming model Daniela Fei with hair and makeup by Alison Pitty and Ashley Graham from G2O Salon.
The upcoming assortment of jewelry from Wicked Peacock includes many raw brass pieces that edge up and tone down the polished, dressier looks from Luke Aaron. This season Aaron found inspiration in 1950s silhouettes and Japanese details—folds, wraps—utilizing silk fabrics like organza and charmeuse. Costa accented with simple jewelry, saying "We wanted to go with pieces that didn't overshadow the clothing, or weigh it down."
