While the failure of Target's last designer collaboration is pretty well documented, it seems the fickle fashion clan has high hopes for the Prabal Gurung capsule collection, launching online and in all Target stores on February 10, this Sunday. Punctuated with a lovely commercial featuring Olivia Thirlby, the collection offers primarily dresses, sandals, and accessories to brighten up spring wardrobes everywhere. Here's how to shop the collab...

WHERE TO SHOP
The Prabal collab is available at all Target stores, but here are five within five miles of downtown Boston.
Somerville: 180 Somerville Avenue. Lechmere (Green Line) to the 87 bus.
Dorchester: 7 Allstate Road. Walk from Andrew (Red Line) or take the 10 bus.
Watertown: 550 Arsenal Street. The 70 bus drops off right in front.
Everett: 1 Mystic View Road. Walk from Wellington (Orange Line).
Revere: 36 Furlong Drive. Walk from Beachmont (Blue Line).

WHEN TO GET THERE
Doors open at normal Target hours, which for all of the stores above is 8am. Now, we are wondering how tomorrow's supposed blizzard will affect the turnout of Prabal-obsessed customers. On that note, are there many fans of the designer in these Boston 'burbs? Our bet is that Watertown and Somerville will receive the bulk of shoppers given the stores' proximity to universities and T access—which also brings us to Dorchester, the closest location to downtown and just a zip on the Red Line.

Truly gung-ho about snagging some precious floral dresses? Just get your butt to one of these Target stores as early as you can handle, bring a friend for some gossip, and fuel up on any of the many Dunkin' Donuts en route. But remember: without a car, shoppers may need literal snow shoes. If the snowplows skipped your street, there's always online shopping.

WHAT TO SCOOP FIRST
Those frilly dresses and energetic prints are emblematic of the Prabal Gurung aesthetic, so we are guessing that they will fly off the rack. Although the strappy sandals can't be taken out on the street for months, they may also be a success. Browse the full 80-piece lookbook to see which attention-grabbing pieces make your shortlist.
