Over on Boylston Street Nordstrom Rack is putting the final touches on its very necessary downtown Boston outpost, opening this Thursday, March 14. The space is gigantic, with 38,000 square feet—that's almost as much as RH next door—spread over multiple levels with premium denim for guys and gals, a cosmetics department, thousands of shoes, over 2000 men's ties, and more than 1000 handbags (Oh, hello heaven!). Like any good Nordstrom family member, Rack offers on-site alterations in the event that you find a way too large designer dress you can't pass up.

So, for the opening day festivities: Customers who come by before work at 8am can find music, breakfast yummies, and a chance at winning one of thirty $100 gift cards (here's hoping those leprechauns put some gold in your pocket). Those who line up can enter the "Rule the Rack" giveaway offering a $1000 shopping spree and entry 30 minutes before the store's official 9am opening for the winner. Will you swing by this week?
