Many seasons ago, StyleWeek Northeast founder Rosanna Ortiz Sinel saw a void in the regional fashion calendar for connecting designers with trade professionals. This weekend, she is bringing her Providence-based production to the W Hotel Boston to fit that need for a twice-annual event on our turf. Intended to complement Boston Fashion Week, the StyleWeek Interim series of shows has turned many well-coiffed heads, curious to see how tonight's kick-off shows perform.
Sinel's goal of including the public in her fashion week was adapted to this Interim event with the Atelier concept—a nightly pop-up boutique allowing customers to meet with StyleWeek designers Susan Troy, Jess Abernethy, and Kara Wickman. Custom apparel and existing inventory will be for sale from 5:30—9:30pm tonight through Saturday, March 23. RSVPs are not necessary; just a craving for locally-designed clothing.
