For many downtown denizens, the thought of traveling into Brookline beyond Coolidge Corner is a no-go—but for plenty of mom and daughter pairs, Kgirl in Putterham Circle is quite the draw. After decades in business at Kenzie Kids in Wellesley, owner Estelle Colgan saw a need for age-appropriate yet trendy tween and juniors clothing, leading her to open Kgirl in Brookline just last fall. While the little ladies' merchandise is known to be top notch (stocking brands like Ella Moss, Splendid, and plenty of European lines), the big secret of Kgirl is the women's space downstairs.
This spring Kgirl is home to French mainstay La Fee Maraboutee, a brand exclusive to the store in Greater Boston. Here's a peek the classically cool collection, with prices hovering around $200. Even if teenyboppers aren't in your social circle, this line begs a visit to the sweet, pink-drenched boutique.
