Seriously, though—does Mother Nature have some vendetta on Boston shopping events? Snow dominated Prabal for Target last month, now the Gilt Warehouse Sale. Tonight and all day tomorrow, Artists for Humanity in Southie will be welcoming many, many competitive shoppers to the notorious shopping extravaganza. Racks upon racks tempt and tease with obsession-worthy goods from designers like Zac Posen, Helmut Lang, Carolina Herrera, Missoni, and Cynthia Rowley marked down as low as 90-goddamn-% off retail, allowing everyone to take home some luxury loot.
If you can believe it, there are still some tickets ($10) available for the late shifts tomorrow, though expect to get bottom of the barrel. A prize of $100 in Gilt credit is up for grabs when you tweet and instagram your purchase, which you'll be doing anyway to show off the spoils. La Marca prosecco and specialty drinks will be served—because who doesn't love ballsy boozed-up shopping? No harm will be done at these can't miss prices.
We'll be hitting up the event tonight and reporting back on what we found. Over and out.
UPDATE, 9:50pm: As we left the sale there was a huge line waiting to get into the Friday night time slot. Inside there are some strong cocktails awaiting them—it's the weekend after all—and size-organized racks of designer items like Marni separates, Narciso Rodriguez dresses, Brian Atwood snakeskin clutches, and Rebecca Minkoff wallets. The shoe tables showed plenty of Pour La Victoire, some Kate Spade, and covetable rag & bone booties. It's worth mentioning though that the sale landscape will totally change by tomorrow morning for Saturday shoppers. Find any great steals? Share in the comments!
