One door closes, another door opens—and in the case of 342 Newbury Street, the revolving door of stores will stay in the Ralph Lauren family. What was formerly Rugby, with a collegiate aesthetic fit for Boston's university crowd, will be transformed into Denim & Supply, a diffusion line of the overarching lifestyle brand. The outpost makes up half of the first-ever US flagship pair, with a New York Greenwich Village location as its partner. While Rugby veered toward prep, Denim & Supply speaks to some rustic, boho sensibilities.
