Each May, friends and family of MassArt convene to watch a parade of student looks in the college's annual fashion show, an event which has been going strong for 95 years. The fashion department celebrates its 105th birthday this year, a milestone punctuated by an audience of 1000 watching over 200 outfits walk down the runway at the Park Plaza Castle. The display of various techniques—non-textile materials, print-making, draping—was impressive, compelling us to round up our favorite looks from the show. It wouldn't be too surprising to see some of these kids on the Lincoln Center catwalks in just a few years time. And considering that MassArt has one of twenty CFDA-approved programs, it's entirely possible someone will be. You heard it here first!
