The Barely-There Foundation for BB Cream Defectors

I tried several BB Creams when they game-changed the heck out of the beauty industry over a year ago, but I was ultimately disappointed. Either the product was way too good at moisturizing my face and made my skin break out or it went on so thick that it created that weird, semi-solid cake look.

To avoid that whole situation, I returned to foundation and bought Benefit's "Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow!" sort of on a whim (I liked the name, OK?). This foundation managed to put my concealer out of commission thanks to its coverage, but still feels silky and light—nothing like what I remember foundations to feel like in my pre-tinted moisturizer/BB Cream days. "Hello Flawless" isn't trying to be a moisturizing hero, or a hard-core foundation, but it did save my skin and my wallet from a trial-and-error rut.
