There are still some great artisans left in the Boston area, and Boston Magazine profiles one in its latest issue: Since 1974, Frank Clegg has been crafting leather goods out of a 5,000-square-foot Fall River studio. Clegg and his team hand-piece and stitch each bag and duffel from vegetable-tanned leather; prices for his work range from $200 to $9,000. [Boston Mag]
