Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Matt Bernson should really be a household name—at least within your shoe closet. The essentially New York designer has an urban appeal, with luxe leather flats, studded sandals, and shearling boots seen on the feet of many city girls tackling the elements each season. Often a boutique hit, the brand can be hard to find out of the department store circuit here in Boston. Today WWD revealed the designer's intention to expand his store presence, and fortunately for us, Boston is included in Bernson's vision:

"I'd like to take our Tribeca aesthetic and apply it to each city's look and feel." The designer notes he will look for more high-traffic spots in these cities, but interesting architecture is a must.

Here's hoping the company makes its debut before the winter freeze. No harm in crossing fingers and toes, right?
