In what is probably one of the biggest beauty launches all year, Marc Jacobs introduced his color cosmetics collection just last week, and Boston fans can already start scooping the goods at 81 Newbury Street. Of course New York's Bleecker Street has been graced with a standalone Marc Jacobs Beauty store, but here in the Bay State (and elsewhere in the country) the designer's boutiques are home to the product line and feature distinctive custom-designed fixtures. Robert Duffy, president of the company, notes that additional dedicated MJ beauty stores are a possibility, depending on how the concept performs. The takeaway: buy enough makeup, and maybe Boston will be graced with a store.
