Welcome to Into It, where, we chat with Boston's movers, shakers, and candlestick makers (okay not really) about how style fits into their lives.

What makes Boston great? It's the plethora of interesting people doing interesting things. Though not always falling in the fashion realm, we think they deserve some notice. Today we're featuring Courtney Herlihy, District Manager for SalonCapri's blow dry concept salon, Be Styled. The Chestnut Hill salon is on the brink of opening a new location in Wellesley on August 9 (mark your calendars!), with Courtney involved in each addition to the Be Styled chain, which has hopes of launching nationally within the next five years. Here she discusses celebrity style, where to shop in the area, and her biggest indulgence.

1. Describe your style.
I love clothes, but I have to say I am a shoe girl...high heels, even in the rain. My style is feminine yet a little edgy. I love Blake Lively's style.

2. How does your work influence your style?
The vibe at Be Styled is lively, pretty, friendly and totally fashion forward. The clients are so great—they are a huge sense of inspiration to me in terms of style.

3. Where do you shop in Boston?
I love Boston period! Was that the question? Actually the fashion scene is fabulous. For a splurge definitely Daniela Corte. I love Moxie, Portobello Road, National Jean Co., lululemon, and Bloomingdales (especially during friends and family sales).

4. Where do you not shop in Boston?
Outdoorsy kind of stores. Admittedly, I am in awe of the people who buy clothes and their adventurous interests.

5. Describe Boston's fashion sense in three words.
Sophisticated, sensibly original (we have crazy weather patterns), and of course, pretty.

6. What's the one thing you can't live without?
High heels, hands down!

7. And the one you can't live with?
A boyfriend who is perpetually late.

8. What is your biggest indulgence?
A great handbag.

9. If you could only exist in one moment in time, what would it be?
Today. I was with my staff at Be Styled in Chestnut Hill and our clients seemed like they loved their experience. I just couldn't be happier. I am constantly reminded how fortunate I am to live in Boston—it truly is the greatest city.

10. And what would you be wearing?
I am wearing a high-waisted emerald short pleated skirt and a black cap sleeved shirt and studded black stilettos.
