Welcome to Racked Boston's Hottest Trainer 2013 competition. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight good looking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. Once you get to know everyone, we'll host a bracket-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite. Let the games begin!
Hannah Katz has been walking suburban students through the ins and outs of Pure Barre for two years, and though she is petite and "effervescent," her assertive teaching style has earned the daunting nickname "El Diablo." With a BFA in Dance, Hannah says she found her calling in barre workouts, which combine principles from ballet with strength exercises in a challenging routine. "I like to push people to their limits, taking them out of their comfort zone without them really realizing it until it's all over," says Hannah about her devilish title.
As spritely as she is in the studio, Hannah has a phobia of falling down stairs—should that happen, we're sure it would be in good form. Fears aside, this trainer is quick to remind "You might not be a rock star on your first time around...You are much stronger than you think."
