Pure Matte lipstick in Peloponnese, $32 from NARS
Glossy lips just don't work on me. My lips are full, so when I put anything on them, it's got to be a matte formula—and while I love the look, it can be a little severe.
At least that's what I thought before I discovered this little gem of a lipstick. NARS hails Peloponnese, the newest shade in its Pure Matte lipstick line, as a "ginger pink," but the color and finish of it remind me of champagne. It's still matte but somehow sparkly at the same time, which really softens the whole look. It's a MLBB (that's 'my lips but better') shade, the kind that'll subtly perk up your entire face.
Wear this in place of a classic nude lip. I can almost guarantee you'll be amazed by how soft and pretty matte lipstick looks when you throw a little glitz into the mix.
