Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

StyleWeek has earned its place at the top of the fashion food chain in Rhode Island, and is quickly making strides here in Boston as an organization to support local designers. Much of New England's industry talent has shown in one of the twice-annual fashion weeks at some point in the last few years, and this upcoming month, a cluster of them are taking the plunge into a retail showroom model.

The project is titled nude.: a space led by designers Jonathan Joseph Peters and Jess Abernethy, located within the historic Arcade in downtown Providence. The boutique opens October 12 and will give designers Sarah Prost, Susan Troy, Amy Stetkiewicz, and Kent Stetson the chance to connect with customers in person. Of the new endeavor, Peters says "Between designs showcased on our sales floor and the endless possibilities of size and color through custom, there is truly is something for everyone!" Get a taste of the merchandise tomorrow night at BOND, where the collaborative will show at 8pm as part of Boston Fashion Week.
