Later this month, Saks Fifth Avenue will debut a renovated second floor, with eight new designer shops featured in the space. Shaking things up a bit, the luxury retailer is also introducing its "Workshop" collection, chock full of contemporary brands pushing the proverbial fashion envelope. This section will be adjacent to the aforementioned designer shops (Donna Karan, Pucci, Alexander McQueen, The Row, Stella McCartney, Givenchy, Alaïa, and Céline) and includes coveted labels like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Thakoon Addition, Helmut Lang, and Carven. As if that wasn't enough to get us going, the store is also highlighting a series of up-and-comers in its merchandising: Thom Browne, Cushnie et Ochs, Band of Outsiders, and several more.

Of the soon-to-be remodeled space, Gretchen Pace, Vice President and General Manager of the Boston store says, "This fall we will present a differentiated point of view in fashion combining the most modern designers with new and emerging talent. I believe our client will immediately connect with the fashion on our new floor." Stay tuned for updates on some can't miss events this season, such as the floor launch celebration on September 26 and additional personal appearances from Phillip Lim and the rag & bone duo of Marcus Wainwright and David Neville.
