French label Sonia Rykiel closed up its Boylston Street shop last month, with WWD noting that the company is seeking a New York City space under new ownership. The shuttered Back Bay location was Rykiel's only freestanding store in the country, though the article states that the newly appointed U.S. manager of the house does intend to expand retail and wholesale operations stateside.
