If the polar vortex made me realize anything—besides that humans really missed the boat on this whole hibernation thing—it's that head coverings are a New York City must in chilly months. Currently, the only one I own that doesn't have a sports team logo on it is my mom's forest green knit beret that she used to wear while running. Not very fashion-forward.
So now I'm really coveting a knit turban headband like this one from ASOS. Use it both for warmth and as an excuse not to do your hair—just spray on some texturizer and you're good to go. Since it comes in one of my favorite colors—red wine—there's a good chance I'd leave it on all day.
