Local jewelry designer Sophie Hughes is no stranger to a strong, raw look—each of her collections employ recycled silver and gold in structural shapes that are simultaneously dainty and edgy. Her latest collection, Banderillas, subscribes to those same running themes in addition to that of the ancient Spanish spear used by traditional bull fighters. The collection does in fact mimic blades and weaponry with styles titled "blade," "spear," and "slice," often in textured ombre finishes.

The lookbook, shot on the South Shore by photographer Heather McGrath, features styling by Renata Certo-Ware that speaks to Banderillas' Spanish motifs, including pops of red in a matador cape-inspired shot and a blazer. Shop Sophie's newest pieces at her recently-opened South End boutique, Ore.
