Today's pick comes from Racked Dallas editor Anna Caplan.
Shinola hard linen-cover journal, $12
If you've opened up a magazine or newspaper at any point in the last few months, you've seen the somewhat aggressive advertising campaign by Detroit start-up Shinola. This new maker of bicycles, watches, leather goods and journals is on my one to, um, watch list, if only for its handsome products. But while I'm not quite in the market for a $900 timepiece right now, I am totally enamored by Shinola's line of linen hard-cover journals (available online and locally at Steven Alan).
The 3.75" by 5.5" version, made in Michigan from "acid-free paper sourced from sustainably managed North American forests" (you can't make this stuff up) fits just fine inside my bag, so it's ideal for on-the-go scribbling. No more note-taking on bank deposit slips for me.
