CAMBRIDGE—For Eater Boston's "Chef Faves" column, Ana Sortun of Oleana, Sofra, and Sarma chats about her current favorite dishes around town, ingredients to use, and more.

HUB-WIDE—The Eater Boston heatmap has been updated for February. New to the list: Alden & Harlow, which opened last week in Harvard Square.

CAMBRIDGE—A restaurant (probably a deli) called The Ames Street Deli appears to be coming to Kendall Square, and licensing notes suggest that the backbar team is behind it.

HUB-WIDE—Eater is now accepting nominations for the 2014 Young Guns, which aims to identify the most promising up-and-comers in the restaurant and nightlife world, whether they're working as chefs or line cooks, sommeliers or bartenders, restaurateurs or maître d's. It's open to nominees under 30 years old — or folks who have spent less than five years in their chosen field.
