Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Diseño, the South End's portal for Latin American-sourced home goods, closed up its 409 Harrison Avenue shop last December, saddening fans of alpaca, shearling, and all things leather. But, Boston—you can put away those tissues. The store has dropped us a comment that it will reopen at a new, undisclosed location, also in the SoWa neighborhood. No specific opening date has been offered up, but the store continues to update customers on Facebook, including its hunt for sales associates who are also whizzes in social media, visual displays, and home decor. Stay tuned.
