Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Fashion Project, a Boston-based e-commerce site with a charitable consignment model, has teamed up with Nordstrom for a feel-good collaboration. When you donate five items (at least $50 original retail price, in pristine condition, and one of these brands), you'll not only get to choose which charity benefits from their resale, but Nordstrom will give back to you with a $40 gift card. No need to lug anything over to a store, so that lazy excuse won't work here. Rather, Fashion Project sends its pre-paid donation bag your way to fill with all those goods that didn't survive spring closet cleaning.
