New Balance opened its newest factory outlet store on North Beacon Street in Brighton last Thursday to replace a former space at 40 Life Street. The gigantic 26,000 square foot space is home to all things New Balance, moving beyond the typical footwear and apparel lines for men, women, and children to also include accessories, family brands like Dunham and PF Flyers, a dedicated retail space for its Warrior brand (a first for the company), and a selection of lacrosse and hockey gear. The building features original wood beams and exposed brick, speaking to a historic gymnasium feel and over a century worth of New Balance heritage in Boston.
