Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today is the day to throw on cycling shoes, stretch those arms, and saddle up to one of 55 SoulCycle bikes in the just-opened Chestnut Hill studio, the New York chain's first Boston-area location. Bikes are still available to reserve during tonight's 5:30pm and 6:30pm classes, and first time riders can call to book a class for just $20 (regularly priced at $30). Wondering who'll be leading class on the podium? Meet the studio's first five instructors on the SoulCycle blog.
