Today, hometown sneaker boss New Balance releases its collaboration sneaker with local retailer The Tannery. While not necessarily a tech-focused running shoe, it pulls inspiration from the tradition of footwear. The 574 Tannery ($180) features a rich brown leather upper (to hint of a tannery, i.e. a leather workshop), with gray and black suede touches, including gray "Boston" text on the midsole. Find the shoe at The Tannery's 711 Boylston Street flagship and its sister-shop Concepts in Harvard Square.
