After months worth of redundant indoor gym workouts, we're betting money that you're ready to jump off the treadmill and break out of that sweaty yoga studio. Enter Public Body, a guerilla-style fitness group founded in 2012 by local trainer, beer drinker, and short-shorts lover Chad Flahive. Leading multiple outdoor sessions weekly in the South End, Flahive combines his irreverent personality with high intensity interval workouts, typically followed by libations and conversation with fellow Public Body "rockstars."
As Flahive's mission states: "Want to piss off an ex with a tight tush, ripped abs, or bulging biceps? We're for you. If you just want to eat an effing cheeseburger every once in a while, we're for you." So if you want to mix burpees with brewskis, we invite you to kickstart the outdoor workout season with a free 6:30pm bootcamp-style class on Wednesday, April 16, in the South End. Shoot us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get on the list; first come, first serve. Once confirmed, we'll let you know where to meet for class.
