With a cheerful yellow logo, Kate Spade's sister brand Kate Spade Saturday speaks to a weekend-loving girl—a bit more relaxed and definitely quirkier than the typical Kate Spade fan. Making its initial debut in Tokyo last March and launching a US e-commerce site shortly thereafter, the brand has quickly expanded its brick-and-mortar presence with outposts in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and Honolulu. Tomorrow, May 3 (conveniently a Saturday), the company will open its first Boston store at 10am.
Located within The Shops at Prudential Center, the 1150 square foot space will showcase apparel, select handbags, shoes, home goods, and tech accessories (as well as an in-store phone charging station). Boston will be the first in the family to receive the line's summer delivery, stocking it exclusively until it hits the other four stores on Monday. The collection rings in at a more accessible price point than its parent brand, making Kate Spade Saturday an ideal spot to grab gifts, reboot your spring wardrobe, or indulge in a spontaneous purchase. College girls (which as we know, are abundant around town) can even enjoy a 15% off discount year-round with a student ID.
To celebrate the opening, Kate Spade Saturday teamed up with JetBlue Getaways for a killer prize—a trip for two to Bermuda. Keep your eyes peeled for the brand's street team as they hand out logo totes in the Back Bay. Inside you'll find a mystery golden ticket; bring it to the store between 10am and 9pm tomorrow and see if you're one of ten winners. Details here.
