A Cambridge-based start-up, AOBiome, made headlines this week with its soap-free, no-shampoo cleansing method, AO+ Refreshing Cosmetic Mist. The spray apparently introduces bacteria we otherwise strip from our system with a twice-daily spray regimen, recreating our natural microbiome. Benefits reportedly include clear, softer skin. [NYT]
