As Uniqlo has teased about its plans for US expansion, particularly in Boston, the Japanese brand finally spilled the beans today on where and when to expect its red and white logo around town. With rumors earlier this year that the retailer was scouting two Boston area stores, it turns out Uniqlo will actually open six stores. WWD and The Boston Globe report that Boston's first taste will be in the form of a Faneuil Hall pop-up shop come early July, with openings to follow at the Natick Mall and the Mall at Chestnut Hill (as we suspected!) on August 29, the Northshore Mall on September 19, and Legacy Place on October 24. A Back Bay flagship is slated to open spring 2015 at 341 Newbury Street, with a permanent Faneuil Hall space also on deck for then. Let's get ready to rumble—in Ultra Light Down, slim denim, and super soft tees, of course.
