Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Cut flowers: so pretty, so hard to arrange and keep alive. The folks at Allandale Farm don't want you to despair: on July 26, farmers Mal Cole and Tana Wilkinson will help allay your floral fears by offering a bouquet building workshop.
After walking students through the farm's flower fields, the duo offers some at-home planting and maintenance advice, the better to extend the lives of your domestic beauties. After that comes the bouquet instruction; you'll even get to bring home your best effort. Get your finest vase ready.
Tickets are $50; sign up via eventbrite.com.
