Ladies and gentlemen, start your hamstrings. B/SPOKE Studios, the latest center designed to cater to an affluent, cycle-crazy clientele, officially opens its doors to the public today after a soft launch on July 9—and with it, a free introductory class for any new member.
Founded by financiers-turned-fitness-enthusiasts Ryan Olsen and Mark Partin, B/SPOKE stands to set itself apart from other luxe cycle studios: the site boasts over 2,000 square feet of downtown workout space, a custom, Zen-like (read: flattering) lighting system and plenty of complimentary goodies, like Aesop toiletries in the locker room, heart rate monitors and indoor cycling shoes. You'll pedal to the sounds of hip-hop, EDM and top 40 music, blasted from some 25 speakers set to put your favorite nightclub to shame.
But let's not forget the real reason you're going to B/SPOKE, aside from, say, checking out fellow riders in a special singles-only class: to get your sweat on. Don't worry, they've got towels for you, too.—Karyn Polewaczyk
