Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Far and wide, natural beauty enthusiasts (and converts) have fallen under the Follain spell, devouring its perfectly balanced collection of clean skincare, haircare, and cosmetics. The last few weeks have proven a growth period for the Boston-born brand, which turned a year old yesterday. Earlier this spring, owner Tara Foley set up shop for the summer on Nantucket; yesterday, she launched the boutique's e-commerce operations to celebrate its first anniversary. The site, designed by local agency JSGD, features more than thirty brands organized by brand and by category, with ingredient lists readily available and informative info on each product. And for those who want to avoid South End parking like the plague—it's free shipping on orders over $75.
