It's 95 degrees today in Boston, so head over to dress (70 Charles Street) and stock up on warm weather favorites from designers like Vanessa Bruno Athe and A.P.C at 60% off.
In September, dress will be celebrating one year at its new home on Charles after relocating from Newbury St. in 2013. The new location, designed by Beacon Hill interior designer Nina Farmer, is "Much lighter and more feminine than our original space", says co-owner Martha Pickett. "The energy is upbeat, but relaxed and inviting."
This past spring, Martha and co-owner Jane Schlueter added some new lines to their well-
curated selection including Ace & Jig, Lizzie Fortunato and Faherty Brand. For fall, they've continued this trend by introducing A Peace Treaty and Stevan Alan. While you're there Maratha recommends trying on the Felix bootie by Loeffler Randall, "They have a small heal so you can walk in them, and they are a wear now with dresses, wear later with tights and jeans. They are just perfect-they really work with everything!"—Kara Weymouth
